It is completely normal to feel a variety of emotions after having an abortion or an early pregnancy loss, also known as a miscarriage. Speaking with a trained advocate can help process these emotions. Below is a list of  free and accessible resources for post-abortion and early pregnancy loss support.

Trained counselors are available pre-abortion for nonjudgmental options counseling. Callers may also discuss adoption, abortion and post-abortion experiences.

Exhale Pro-Voice

Free, confidential national talkline where trained counselors provide emotional support, resources, and information to women who have had abortions, as well as to their partners, families, friends and allies. Available in English, Spanish, Cantonese, Mandarin and Vietnamese.

Faith Aloud

Trained counselors are primarily clergy of various religious faiths, including Roman Catholic, Jewish, Unitarian-Universalist, Protestant Christian and Buddhist. Individuals with no specific religious faith are also welcome to call and receive support. Available in English and Spanish.

First Candle

Free, confidential talkline that provides support specifically for women, partners, families and anyone else affected by the loss of a child through a pregnancy loss. Available in English and Spanish.

National Abortion Federation

Information and referral to abortion services, financial resource counseling, and options counseling.
